Terms and conditions

All cats must be microchipped and sterilised. Please contact your vet for information on microchipping or sterilising your cat.

Sterilisation and microchip certificates must be included with your registration application.

Please notify the City of any changes, such as ownership, address, or on the death of your cat.

Concession rates apply for cats owned by pensioners where proof of concession is submitted.

Cat registrations are valid until 31 October each year.

Microchipping

Beyond the legal requirement for all cats to be micro-chipped, microchipping your pets is a safe and effective method of reuniting you with your pet if they become lost.

Inserting the chip under the skin is a quick and painless procedure, taking only a few seconds. The microchip cannot fall out, and remains active for the life of the animal, giving you a safe and reliable way for your pet to be identified quickly if it is found.

Your local vet can provide sterilisation and microchipping services.

Register your cat by completing the application form or alternatively visit the City of Karratha Administration Office on Welcome Road, Karratha or the Roebourne Library to obtain a paper version.
