Approval conditions and cancellations

Factors impacting your assessment may change. Conditions may be applied, and approvals can be cancelled. For example, if a neighbour has a severe allergic reaction to bees, your approval may be cancelled for their safety.

As things can change, it’s recommended you keep your beekeeping set-up simple, and limit your investment.

Selling honey

Packaging and selling honey need additional approval. You will need to apply for food business registration and meet food safety requirements for a food manufacturing business.
