Financial hardship

During times of financial hardship, some people may experience difficulty paying rates. As well as offering flexible payment arrangements, the City has developed a financial hardship policy to provide relief to eligible residential ratepayers by writing-off interest of up to $1,000 on outstanding rates.

Read the Financial Hardship (rate relief) Policy to find out if you are eligible.

Complete the Financial Hardship (rate relief) Application to begin your application.

Download the Rates Concession/Waiver Application and include this completed form with your application.

Please bring completed forms into the City's Administration Building, along with a hardship letter from a qualified financial body.

Not-for-profit community groups.

Not-for-profit community groups including sporting associations may be eligible to apply for rate concessions on ratable properties. Read the Exemption Policy, and apply by completing the Rates Concession/Waiver Application.
