The highly anticipated Red Earth Arts Festival is back for its 14th year this May with an action packed four-day program.
Audiences of all ages can look forward to a jam-packed festival with more than 70 performances, workshops and experiences over four days from May 9 to 12.
Highlights from the program include WA Opera performing Koolbardi we Wardong (Magpie and the Crow) with award-winning songwriters and storytellers, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse.
For children there is the fantastic, The One Who Planted Trees, an inspirational story that proves just how much one person can achieve.
Fringe World top-tier Martin Sims Award winners YUCK Circus acrobats will be bringing their all-Aussie rock and roll powerhouse show Deadset to the festival.
Other highlights include the side splitting show The Joker and The Queen starring Janelle Koenig and REAF MC Dean Misdale, as well as the Harmony and HeART and Mother’s Day Morning Celebration Breakfast community events featuring roving entertainment and community performances.
City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said the Red Earth Arts Festival is a highlight of the events calendar.
“It’s fantastic to see such a fantastic and diverse line up of local and national talent this year, which we are sure audiences are going to love,” Cr Scott said.
“We have secured some amazing talent this year and encourage everyone to get out to see a show, sign up for a workshop and get involved in what will be a brilliant edition of the Red Earth Arts Festival.”
REAF is proudly presented by the City of Karratha and Principal Partner Rio Tinto, with Event Partner Woodside Energy and its joint venture partners, and Program Partner Pilbara Ports. In-kind sponsorship has been provided by Pilbara Traffic Management and Damel.
