The Cossack Art Awards is one of the premier arts and cultural events in the Pilbara as a nationally significant art prize.
From 23 July – 13 August there will be a range of free and ticketed events on offer from sound healing and a watercolour workshop to mixed media sessions and salsa dancing entertainment.
Other highlights of the program include Monet by the moon, cultural tours, yoga, and flower crown making.
Artist in Residence, Alice Boardman presents a masterclass in glasswork and gestural mark making during her time at Cossack.
City of Karratha Mayor Peter Long said this year’s program gave locals the chance to indulge and embrace their creative side.
“Our 2023 public program has something for everyone, with a series of immersive events to complement the Cossack Art Awards,” Cr Long said.
“We also have our 2023 Cossack Artist in residence Alice Boardman offering exclusive workshops around glass cutting and gestural mark making.
“I encourage everyone to have a look at the program and head along to the events.”
