Mayor Peter Long has returned to the City of Karratha and is resuming Mayoral duties after a period of leave.
In late March, Mayor Long was injured while riding his bicycle suffering several broken bones and a punctured lung.
He was flown by Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
City of Karratha Chief Executive Virginia Miltrup said the City would like to thank the community for their support of Peter during this time.
“Peter was very fit at the time of accident which is enabling his speedy recovery,” Ms Miltrup said.
“I would like to thank Deputy Mayor Nunn for her hard work in performing the Mayoral duties while Peter was on leave.”
