Residents called to participate in the City of Karratha’s 2023 Community Survey.

The City of Karratha’s annual community survey is now open, and we are asking residents to share their thoughts on a range of City matters.

Survey results play a vital role in the City’s understanding of how residents rate the importance and performance of City facilities, services, and liveability factors.

The feedback is used to identify gaps in service delivery, plan for new projects and advocate for the community.

City of Karratha Mayor Peter Long said the survey was easy to complete and an effective way to influence Council’s strategic planning and budgeting process.

“Results assist the City in identifying priorities for the upcoming year, so we can ensure our services and facilities are meeting community expectations,” Cr Long said.

“The survey is also used to measure lifestyle and liveability factors such as cost of living, access to health services and education offering.”

Mayor Long said while some of these factors were outside of the control of local government, the data would help Council and the City advocate on behalf of community members.

“We had over 1000 people take part in the survey last year and are hoping for even more responses this year,” he said.

“We want to hear from all sections of the community, so encourage your friends and family to take part and share their thoughts.”

This year’s survey has four prizes on offer including a $250 KTVC booking voucher, a Fitbit Inspire 2 Fitness Tracker and a City Gym Membership. Other prize packs include a Lenovo Tab M10 Plus Tablet and an Ultimate Ears Megaboom speaker.

The Annual Community Survey closes Monday 28 February.
