Win a trip to Broome by participating in the City of Karratha’s 2024 Community Survey

The City of Karratha’s annual community survey is now open, and residents can win a return trip for two to Broome for sharing their thoughts on a range of City matters.

Survey results play a vital role in the City’s understanding of how residents rate the importance and performance of City facilities, services, and liveability factors.

The feedback is used to identify gaps in service delivery, plan for new projects and advocate for the community.

Those who complete the survey will go into a draw to win return flights from Karratha to Broome for two from Nexus Airlines.

City of Karratha Mayor Daniel Scott said the survey was easy to complete and was an effective tool to influence Council's strategic planning and budgeting processes.

“The results assist the City in identifying priorities for the upcoming year, so we can ensure that our services and facilities are meeting the needs of the community,” Cr Scott stated.

“The survey is also used to measure lifestyle and liveability factors such as cost of living, access to health services and education offering.”

Mayor Scott said while some of these factors were out of the control of the City and Council, the data would assist them in advocating on behalf of the local community.

“Last year, more than 1000 people participated in the survey and we hope to receive even more responses this year.

“We want to hear from all sections of the community, so encourage your friends and family to take part and share their thoughts.

To make the survey more accessible, the City has created a shortened version of the survey and physical copies of the survey will also be available in Roebourne as well as at Centrelink in Karratha.

“This year we have made the survey more accessible with physical copies at a range of locations including at NYFL, the Roebourne Post Office and Karratha Centrelink,” Cr Scot said.

The Annual Community Survey closes March 8.
